Tomorrow is Midsummer!!
Midsummer is one of the most important holidays in the Swedish calendar. They celebrate this day with music, dance, food and flowers, a lot of flowers. Curious? Take a look here
But, what about crochet??
One year ago, I crocheted this top for to wear during the summer.
Unfortunately I could not wear it, but this year is the year! 🙂
If it does not rain tomorrow, I will be wearing my crochet top. So, I would like to share the pattern of the top with you, dear crocheters. 😉
What I did use?
- Yarn – you can use one of your preference.
- Crochet hook – size 3mm.
How to start?
Start by making the squares. I made 20 squares, like that:
And 2 half square like that:
Once you’re done, put the squares together, like in the picture bellow:
Now, make the “body” as follow:
The size of the body depends on your own height. I did 42 rounds in total and after that I did this pattern bellow to give a nice and neat finishing to the edges.
To finish the top, weave in any loose ends.
And here’s the finished top on. I hope you love it as much as I do.
